When you think of Italian food, you immediately have the smell of freshly baked Ciabbata, pasta, pizza and antipasti in the nose. The Italian cuisine offers countless moments of pleasure. There are dishes that can only be heavenly - it is not excluded are countless recipes of the Italian cuisine.

 

If you let yourself be seduced into the world of Italian cuisine , like antipasti are served before the main course . As primi piatti , so the main course are usually high carbohydrate foods such as lasagne, gnocchi or pasta offered. As secondi piatti, so the second main course, there is then a dish with meat or seafood. The Sweetness at the end - at the end of a wonderful menu heard in Italy a dessert - even here there are many wonderful desserts made ​​by the enjoyable Italian cuisine and last but not least a cafe and a Limoncello.

 

In Sardinia there is a very old and well-known saying: "Eh, chi non m'as postu fruchhitta!" As once in Cagliari, the great-aunt of someone said when they did not see her on the Sardinian Sunday dinner, to have taken a bite to herselve:  " Well, if you gave me no fork!" When you sit down to dinner in Sardinia, food is a must!

 

Food is like on the mainland in Italy in Sardinia synonymous with family and tradition. Not must when Sardinian food, wines from the island, which accompany and patronize the food. And at the end of the digestion, you take a fine Mirto, a limoncello or brandy (fil'e ferru).​

 

The culinary tradition of Sardinian cuisine has a lot to do with the previous culture. Originally, the Sardinians were mainly farmers and herders who have thus strongly influenced the culinary culture and there are therefore many dishes with cheese, bread and sausage. Fishermen came later, which then included the dishes with seafood.
